i TOTALLY disagree with your blog. what other reason other than the east indian cheapy call centers could account for this travesty. PLEASE!!!! American Idol needs to revise their voting methods. But more importantly, let this be a valuable lesson to the small time investor who decides to go heavy in Asia and overseas markets, the hedgies and heavy market players in Japan make our US shorties look like pussy cats. Will everyone just stop panicking for one moment and realize who really runs the dollar amounts?

I have been watching IDOL since the beginning and this is one of the most frustrating and disgusting "pranks" of the American people.
I hope the "powers that be" will change their policy and only permit one vote per phone line.
We must give talented young people their fair chance and not be permited to vote as a lark.
Like Simon says: "This is a singing show. " not a show to vote for the worst performer.

It's a shame to see such a great show go down the tubes because of this.

What a terrible thing to do to the people that really are trying and deserve to win this show. My daughter is a singer and she works REALLY hard to be the best singer she can be. What a shame to dimish the chances of some of these gifted singers to support someone classed as the Worst. Let the show be what it is a singing competition. VOTE FOR THE BEST AMERICA !!!!!!!

"Vote For the Worst" might think they're accomplishing something. But really, all they are doing is making this whole experience painful for the kids who need to go home and KNOW it. I feel sorry for Sanjia(sp). I believe he knows that he should not be winning a spot each week --- did you see how low he hung his head last night as the audience booed. Why subject a young person who just wanted to have a fun experience to this kind of cruelty for the sake of sticking it to the AI producers. Not right. And why would anyone want to ruin this show? It's one of the 'nicest' programs we have on our trashy tvs.

Its such a shame that a web site such as VOTE FOR THE WORST exsists....This is a serious compitition and it changes lives....Things like this is what ruins a good show for the rest of the world, American Idol is going to have to do something, I just hope it doesnt end the show for good!

Come on people the show, whether it pockets big financial gains for corporate investors or not is just entertainment...it's TV...if you don't like it don't watch it...if you disagree with the way they run it write to them...if you don't want some no-talent wannabe to win vote for your choice until your fingers bleed.

I see people saying that what VFTW is cruelty, i think cruelty is what AI producers do to the poor people on the auditions just for the sake of rating...

At the end VFTW only makes AI rating go up and up, ruin the show? nahhh, probably VFTW is runned by AI producers, makes sense to me...

I love what Votefortheworst is doing. American Idol is a glorified Karaoke contest. Anyone with true talent will make a living for themselves without this show. I hope what VFTW is doing kills this show!

I think voting for the worst is great, it gives an opportunity for those of us that are NOT entertained by the show, to have something to be entertained about it. Plus it's great to see the reaction on people's faces when the unexpected occurs. Is it evil? Maybe.... Is it entertaining? Without a doubt.

I think "Vote for the Worst" is a clever idea. An earlier poster pointed out that people want to see the terrible singers in the beginning, but they want to see the great singers at the end. That is a double standard. If you don't enjoy seeing people humiliated when there are only 12 contestants left, then you shouldn't enjoy seeing them humiliated in their auditions either. I don't know that the site has enough clout to get Sanjaya into the top 10, but I would love to see it. American Idol is just like any other reality television show: it's all about the money. Calling this a true competition is naive.
